The LPFA handles much of the public outreach for the Los Padres Forest. This includes managing a variety of Visitor Centers across the forest. We currently have two fully staffed Visitor Centers at Wheeler Gorge and Big Sur Station.
Each Visitor Center has:
- Knowledgable staff that can assist with hiking, backpacking, camping and other forest-use questions
- Maps and guidebooks
- Adventure Passes (where applicable)
- Weekly interpretive events
- Annual Open House Celebrations
