FIRE RESTRICTIONS We’re a little late to the gam FIRE RESTRICTIONS

We’re a little late to the game this year, but seasonal fire restrictions for the Los Padres began last week (6/4). You can read the full order below or in our bio, but this means NO OPEN FIRES, CAMPFIRES, SMOKING OR CHARCOAL FIRES outside of developed recreation sites or designated campfire use sites. Sites where campfires are allowed are listed in photo 3 and in the link below. Camp stoves are still allowed with a valid California Campfire Permit (link in bio).

Campfires are great, but so is enjoying the starry sky, warm nights, and avoiding any accidental wildfires. Let’s all do our part to have a safe and uneventful fire season!

PIEDRA BLANCA WORKING VACATION Come join LPFA for PIEDRA BLANCA WORKING VACATION

Come join LPFA for a backcountry Volunteer Working Vacation May 29 - June 7 on the Piedra Blanca Trail in the Sespe Wilderness! We’ll be spending the week high up in the LP working the trail towards Haddock Camp. This is a great location to spend late spring in the Los Padres – over 6,000ft high, mixed conifer forest, good water, and panoramic views.

If you haven’t joined a Working Vacation before, they are an absolute blast. LPFA provides food, drinks and tools for volunteers deep in the backcountry while we work on brushing, crosscutting, and re-treading iconic trails. This project is part of our ongoing mission to maintain the #condortrail in Ventura County, and this section hasn’t seen work in quite some time.

If you can’t join for the whole time, NO PROBLEM! Check out the details on our calendar at LPForest.org or in our bio and come out and join the party.
